This is only the second frame pump I have had to purchase in the past 20 years. My previous frame pump was also a Zefal. The HPX-4 appears to have a stonger head assembly then in years past. Very sturdy pump and at times protective club against unleased dogs. Very snug fit in the frame that won't bounce out on rough roads. Long strokes make quick work pumping up a flat. Highly recommend if you use a frame pump.

Very good product and works better than floor pump. I wish it came with a little better attachments to connect to top or seat tube. you need to use a secondary velcro strap to hold in place. Other than that, great product. Good service and quick delivery with order.

This is the pump, stop looking and just measure your frame and order one. I originally made the mistake and bought the "new and improved" model, don't, it's cr*p. This pump design has been around for almost 30 years and it's perfect.
#1) You can open up the seat, reverse the rubber seat and change the pump from Presta to shreader valves. It's not fast but it is field serviceable. In fact on a bike trip, I stopped to help a guy in pickup truck with a slow leak. We all pumped for about a half hour and put enough air in his giant tires to drive to the next gas station.
#2) The spring which holds the pump onto your frame locks out when you are pumping so no wasted effort compressing a spring.
#3) The rubber seat locks onto the valve with the thumb lock. No loss of air as you pump it up.
#4) The narrow tube allows you to get it up to the 120lbs of pressure easily.
#5) The long tube means you don't have to do a zillion strokes to get it there.
#6) The aluminum body won't rust or crack, is thick enough to not dent unless you really whack a dog hard with it. And even then the pump will still work pretty well. Yet it's pretty light.
I've had mine for years and it's the perfect pump for a road bicycle. Some Mt bikes with their full suspension frames may have trouble using a frame pump so be sure to measure.
